Obesity

According to Curley (2019), the percentage of cases of cancer associated with obesity may be as high as 54%. The types of cancer in children associated with obesity include but are not limited to oesophageal, pancreatic, colon and rectal, kidney, thyroid, and gallbladder. The prevalence rate of obesity among children in the United States is 18.5%, with children aged 2-5 having the lowest prevalence of 13.9% (Curley, 2019).
